The unique nature of Ukrainian Polissya
Travel area the Polissya Tram is famous for the unique beauty of forest landscapes.

The climate in the Ukrainian Polissya is similar to the wheat-producing regions of Canada. There are many clear rivers and mirror lakes, all this creates a unique natural complex of powerful recreational resources. The beauty and richness of Polissya's nature attracts more and more tourists each year.

Volodymyrets district
There are 6 main objects in the Volodymyrets district that nature still preserves. The largest and the most famous one is Rivne Nature Reserve (8.200 hectares), where the lake Bile is situated, where the water contains a large number of natural glycerine.
Horyn, Stir rivers, more than 10 lakes and 14 man-made reservoirs are olso located here.
More than half of district’s area is covered by forests housing rich local fauna: wild boar, wolves, foxes, moose, deer, martens, roe deer, muskrat, beavers, bird - black cock, partridges, cranes, wild geese. And the wide variety of trees dominated by pine, alder, oak, birch. In addition, those forests are rich in berries and mushrooms.
Zarichne district
This district is famous for its 7 well known rivers (Stir, Pripyat, Stokhid, Veseluha, Stubla), 17 lakes, including Nobel’, Ostrivs'ke, Sosne. The largest lake in Ukrainian Polissya is Nobel’ (499 hectares).
Nature Reserves are many of the finest sites for wildlife and active rest in the Zarichne district. There are Ostrivs’ke, Vychivs’ke, Svarytsyvetske and Dibrovske foresty and famous Regional landscape park the Prypyat-Stokhid, which is popular for the international project The Pollissya Ecological Corridor Development, launched there. The park is 39,000 hectares large and it is the third one with the national status (after the Shatskyi National Park and Desniansko-Starohutskyi one) in the Ukrainian Pollissya.

The flora of Zarichne District includes 4 rare and vanishing species of plants that are listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine.

Flora and fauna of both districts are very similar.
